From the villa, you can walk down into Port Elizabeth, where you’ll find grocery stores, restaurants, bars, cafés, the gym, beaches, the waterfront and the Belmont Walkway all within easy reach. There’s even a newly opened crêpe restaurant right at the bottom of the hill, perfect for an easy breakfast, lunch or something sweet. You can walk down from the villa, although we recommend being prepared for a little workout on the way back up if you enjoy a good hill climb! It’s a rare combination in Bequia: elevated hillside privacy and spectacular harbour views, while still being close enough to walk into the centre of town and experience the island at your own pace.

Well positioned for exploring Port Elizabeth on foot, with restaurants, bars, grocery stores, beaches, the gym and the harbour all within walking distance. The villa does, however, sit at the top of a hill, so while walking is certainly possible, guests should be comfortable with the uphill return journey. Taxis are readily available and are an easy option for getting back to the villa. A rental vehicle isn’t essential for your stay, especially if you plan to spend most of your time around Port Elizabeth. We would mainly recommend one if you’d like to explore more of Bequia at your own pace, visit beaches and communities around the island, or simply prefer the convenience of driving yourself. Hazell Holidays also arranges taxi transfers and rental vehicles for all our guests.
